During the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, PSB Bank and Urbantech Cable Transport signed a cooperation agreement to jointly implement cableway construction projects through public-private partnerships. The agreement was signed by Dmitry Fedorishchev, Vice President and Head of the Center for Infrastructure Projects and Public-Private Partnerships at PSB, and Andrey Denisenkov, CEO of Urbantech Cable Transport.
Under the agreement, PSB will finance cableway construction projects in various regions of Russia. One such project, planned for Nizhny Novgorod, envisions a two-section cableway line crossing the Oka River. The 3,340-meter route, featuring detachable grips and an intermediate station, will connect the Upper (Nagornaya) and the Lower (Zarechnaya) parts of the city, cutting passenger travel time by 40 minutes. The new connection will also reduce congestion at transport interchanges and ease the load on the city’s public transport network.
“Financing the construction of cableways will be one of PSB’s key priorities as part of the implementation of public-private partnership programs. Projects like these help create favorable conditions for economic and social development in Russia’s regions. New infrastructure solutions will make a significant contribution to boosting tourist flows, attracting investments, and creating jobs,” said Dmitry Fedorishchev.
“We see significant potential for cooperation with PSB Bank in developing cableway projects. I am confident that combining our companies’ experience and expertise will not only help effectively address current transport and social challenges in the regions, but also create new growth opportunities for urban environments, tourism, and the economy as a whole. For us, this is more than just the signing of an agreement—it marks the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership that will pave the way for large-scale infrastructure projects across Russia,” added Andrey Denisenkov.
